The leak checking of transmission lines such as telecom, water, natural
gas or other liquid or gas lines can be checked using a 5% hydrogen/95%
nitrogen tracer gas. This tracer gas is completely non-combustible, low
cost and friendly to the environment. In an underground leak, the
hydrogen in the tracer gas escapes the pipe and moves through the ground
quickly and in a straight path. Detection above ground can be with a
hand probe or wheel probe moved along the ground. Hydrogen will also
move and can be detected through asphalt or concrete. Information on the
