The AMG 12 is designed to find and locate leaks in systems containing most all types of commonly used refrigerants. The AMG-12 Refrigerant Leak Detector is designed for production applications. The sensing method is infra-red. Infra-Red light is absorbed by refrigerant gas. This change can be measured by the sensor and converted to a leak rate. The AMG-12 measures and quantifies the leak, then displays the leak in either ounces per year of refrigerant or grams per year.
