The Sensistor 9012 uses 5% hydrogen/95% nitrogen as
the tracer gas injected into the part at a positive pressure. This 5%
hydrogen mixture is completely non-combustible (green label) and safe
for use. At 5%, hydrogen in nitrogen will not ignite or burn. Reasons to
use hydrogen over other gases such as helium are:
